We are a community of consultants in the “helping” business leveraging  humble inquiry and guidance alongside clients to co-create solutions.

What is the society for process consulting?

We are an active group of consultants who believe in the power of process consulting to transform organizations.

Our purpose is to provide a community of practice around the vocation of process consulting and to improve results for organizations, businesses and individual consultants.

Through unique and challenging certifications, courses, and community learning we strive to develop better consultants who put their customers first.

What is process consulting?

Process consulting is an iterative form of humble inquiry and guidance in which the consultant works alongside the client to co-create solutions. A process consultant’s purpose is not to provide ready-made solutions but to advance the client’s growth and learning through an authentic discovery process.

Organizations and businesses dealing with complex change, adaptation or growth benefit from this approach, which includes the social, relational, cultural and psychological dynamics of change, not just the tasks involved.

Process consulting was first described nearly 50 years ago by the late Dr. Edgar Schein, who was Professor Emeritus at MIT Sloan School of Management.

why do we exist?

  • To provide a space for process consultants to thrive, and to consequently help more organizations thrive!
  • To provide a framework of professional ethics for process consultants.
  • To recognize quality and proficiency among process consultants.

What do we do?

We provide community and standards in the field by offering:

  • Membership to practitioners
  • Courses to practitioners
  • Credentials to practitioners who have exhibited various levels of proficiency
  • Accreditation to third-party course providers that have been vetted and approved by the Standards and Ethics Committee.

Join the community. Sharpen your skills. Build your business.
